The Association of the World's Most Beautiful Bays revealed on Monday that its aim for the coming year is to increase publicity of its activities in order to attract sponsors to fund projects to protect coastal areas..
In effect, the association wants to ensure the visibility of its actions by strengthening its presence in different media.
"As a first step towards realizing this commitment, this international association will hold a global solid waste collection day in June 2024," announced the president of the Association of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World, Loius Thebault, quoted by Rádio Moçambique, in Yeosu, South Korea, at the closing of the 17th Congress of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World.
For his part, the mayor of Yeosu, Jung Myung-soo, speaking on the occasion, said he believed that this symposium would provide a wealth of experience in the management and protection of marine environments.
The symposium, which took place under the slogan: Connecting the values of bays and islands, was attended by seventeen countries, including Mozambique, represented by the Bay of Pemba.
Music, dance and typical Korean cuisine marked the end of the 17th World's Most Beautiful Bays Congress in Yeosu, South Korea, on Monday.
