Malange: Eight hundred and forty ballots run out before voters cast their ballots

Malange: Oitocentos e quarenta boletins esgotam antes do voto dos eleitores

Eight hundred and forty ballots that the Technical Secretariat for Electoral Administration (STAE) received mysteriously disappeared before the 800 voters registered at that polling station could exercise their right to vote.

The case took place at the EPC Eduardo Mondlane assembly, table number 0805803-02, in the village of Milange.

This means that there were ghosts who voted before the living voters exercised their right.

The CIP Electoral Bulletin explains that the president of the polling station, who did not want to be identified and did not agree to be interviewed, said that there were 800 registered voters and the polling station had received 840 ballot papers from STAE.

The bulletins ran out and the process had to stop. They are awaiting guidance from the district STAE.

Voting resumed shortly afterwards, when the presiding officer left and returned with a few batches of ballots. Everything went smoothly. (CIP)
