Absa Bank Mozambique launched the 7th edition of the pan-African program to train young people for the job market - Ready to Work - in Maputo.

On October 5, the second meeting was held between Absa Bank Mozambique, the Institute of Small and Medium Enterprises, IP (IPEME, IP), the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (APME) and several entrepreneurs, to reinforce the advantages that this partnership brings to this sector.

This second presentation session, one of the actions that materialize the memorandum signed on May 8, 2023, was aimed at strengthening the synergies created during the first meeting, which aim to support and boost the development of the SME sector. The institutions continue, in coordination, to promote the revitalization of the national economy by offering relevant services to economic agents, particularly SMEs, thus contributing to the expansion of business opportunities and investments.

Alberto Júnior, head of Absa Bank Mozambique's Branch Network, said that "with these sessions we reinforce our commitment to continue innovating and diversifying our offer, recognizing the need to establish an ever closer relationship, and the relevance of carrying out coordinated work in the field of promotion and harmonious development of the national economy, supporting this business fabric, both through its empowerment for greater access to specialized financial services, and through an offer of products, services, digital channels, and personalized service, but above all, competitive solutions."

At this meeting, the partners discussed the benefits of this partnership, as well as the advantages found in this relationship with the bank. Alberto Júnior said that "we are convinced that, through this initiative, we are promoting the development and dynamization of SMEs, contributing directly to the sustainable growth of the Mozambican economy."

With this partnership, Absa is positioning itself as the Bank for SMEs, continuing to support the Central Government's objective of promoting the sustainable development of the economy through reliable initiatives that contribute to increasing national production.
