Singer and television presenter Hugo Diogo Mendoça, better known as Dygo Boy, was arrested yesterday at the 7th Police Station in Maputo city, accused of aggravated fraud.

The singer's arrest is the result of an arrest warrant issued on September 18 by the Maputo City Court.

Hugo Diogo, 37, is also accused of issuing a bad check and a similar crime, provided for and punishable in article 292 of the penal code, reads the court order document that MZNews had access to.

Information provided by "Integrity" indicates that the musician and presenter, who is a member of one of Mozambique's most influential families, presented himself yesterday at one of the police stations located in Maputo city.

It is known that Dygo Boy was also recently involved in a fight with his ex-wife over their daughter. The case was decided in court and the judge gave the minor's mother the right to visit and have contact with her daughter.

However, the decision didn't please the presenter as he continued to make it difficult for the mother and daughter to have contact, according to information she shared on social media.
