It seems that the American Glazers brothers are unhappy with the proposals from Jim Ratcliffe and Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The British newspaper Daily Mail has dropped a bombshell this Sunday, reporting that the Glazer family is preparing to give up on the sale of Manchester United once and for all, following a process that has been dragging on for almost a year.
The basis for this decision, we read, will be the dissatisfaction caused by the proposals made by Jim Ratcliffe (the richest man in the UK) and Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani (sheik of Qatar), the only two multi-millionaires who have managed to reach the final stage of the round of negotiations, and who remain interested in the club.
The Americans believe that, given factors such as the increase in television revenues and the reshaping of the Club World Cup, the fair value of the Red Devils is set at between seven and ten billion pounds - 8.2 and 11.7 billion euros.
It's a figure that none of the interested parties are willing to meet, which is why the Glazers should opt to remain in charge of the historic English club... and try to sell it once again, probably within two years.
