“Amor À Camisola homenageia Paulina Chiziane”

The Amor À Camisola Festival will be holding a Hip Hop concert called "ARTE QUE NÃO SE CALA" (ART THAT DOESN'T SHUT UP) next Saturday (29), starting at 11 a.m. in the Matola City Council Courtyard.

According to a statement sent to our newsroom, this is a multidisciplinary event open to the public, which marks the first step on the way to the Amor À Camisola Festival - 2023, the year in which the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop Culture will be marked.

The occasion aims to bring together Hip Hop lovers, makers and all those who use writing as an instrument of intervention for a range of activities celebrating the social activism of Mozambican writer Paulina Chiziane in the causes of democracy, citizenship, freedom of thought and human rights in general.

It is hoped that the initiative will create an engaging atmosphere that will exalt, share and create a conversation around the influence of Paulina Chiziane's thought on the past, present and future of generations, through Hip Hop and in one of the historical and reference places in the reflection on the right to life and dignity.

Joining the event are names like Gina Peppa, Flash, 9Cons, Smoller, Konfuzo 412 and several other young rappers who stand out for the transformative content of their compositions.

In addition to the performances on stage, there will be a gastronomic fair where typical Mozambican flavors will be presented, as well as performances by DJ Elex and DJ Kiko.
