The Municipality of Maputo is promising articulated buses from next month and, according to Alexandre Muianga, the councillor in charge, they are intended to improve the chaotic transport system in Maputo.

Muianga, who was speaking on Thursday at a session of the Maputo Municipal Assembly, said that there were only a few details left to make the project a reality.

"The technicians and the director general of Fultran himself were here in Mozambique and did some work with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Municipal Parking Company (Emme) and he has a lot of details about the project," she said, quoted by the newspaper Carta.

The source also said that the project is ready in terms of drafting, however, there are some compliance aspects that need to be improved.

It should be noted that the project was presented to Mozambicans in 2021 and the municipality reiterates that everything is in place for it to start operating next month to improve the "old" transportation problem in Maputo.
