Millennium bim promove exposição artística “Filhas do Mar”

Millennium bim has once again teamed up with Camões - Portuguese Cultural Center in Maputo to support the artist Nelson Augusto Carlos Ferreira, better known as Pekiwa, who inaugurated the exhibition entitled "Filhas do Mar" (Daughters of the Sea).

Pekiwa develops his sculptural designs based on materials such as wood from the island of Mozambique, as well as iron from urban scrap from Maputo province, in order to establish a reflection on current themes and a strong connection to maritime nature.

For Millennium bim's CEO, João Martins, "supporting the exhibition represents the Bank's commitment to promoting national talents and their works. It's really gratifying for the Bank to be able to play an active role in promoting and projecting the cultural artistic potential of our beautiful country, so we welcome the materialization of this exhibition."

This exhibition is part of a partnership with Camões to support and promote Mozambican artists, as part of the "More Mozambique for Me" social responsibility program, which focuses on projects related to education and culture, children's/youth sports, business volunteering, health and community development and the environment, in an ongoing commitment to developing structuring and sustainable projects throughout the country.

Inaugurated on June 22, the exhibition "Daughters of the Sea" will be open until August 31, from Monday to Saturday.
