The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is supporting actions to strengthen local governance in four districts once affected by terrorism in Cabo Delgado province.
The initiative aims to boost the skills and performance of civil servants in the Macomia, Quissanga, Mocímboa da Praia, Palma and Muidumbe districts, who are trying to rebuild after the terrorist attacks.
On Monday, the city of Pemba hosted the launch ceremony for the initiative, led by the Secretary of State for Cabo Delgado province, António Supeia.
The government official, quoted by Rádio Moçambique, stressed the importance of training in the current scenario of rebuilding and re-establishing the government in the districts that were once affected by terrorism.
