UNHCR: Terrorist Attacks Constrain Humanitarian Assistance in Cabo Delgado

The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) believes that the terrorist attacks taking place in the areas where people are returning to their normal lives in Cabo Delgado are conditioning the support of humanitarian institutions.

According to the UNHCR representative, Elisa Jamal, who was speaking at the National Conference for the Displaced in the city of Pemba, "humanitarian agencies don't go to the affected communities for fear of possible attacks".

The meeting focused on the response to the situation of internally displaced people in the north of the country.
