Ukraine's secret services allegedly tried to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin last Sunday using a kamikaze drone.

Although it failed, this alleged assassination attempt is being covered up by the Kremlin, according to the German newspaper Bild on Wednesday.

The target would be a newly-built industrial park near Moscow, which Putin was due to visit.

In fact, according to Russian media, a UJ-22 drone crashed near Voroskogo, about 20 kilometers from the Rudnevo Industrial Park.

According to the Kremlin, Putin was planning a visit to the site and passers-by posted images on social media of the preparations, which included painting the ground green and applying a layer of cement in front of the main building. (Notícias ao Minuto)
