As part of the street demonstrations on March 18 this year, the Public Prosecutor's Office opened 14 criminal cases, four of which against members of the Mozambique Republic Police (PRM) and 10 among the demonstrators.

The public prosecutor, Beatriz Buchili, clarified today in parliament that demonstrating is the right of every citizen, as long as it complies with the law.

Beatriz Buchili was answering questions from MPs as part of her annual report to Parliament.
