Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani is reportedly preparing to make a new (and improved) bid for Manchester United, the club put up for sale by the American Glazer family.
The news was reported on Friday by the British newspaper MirrorThe report, quoted by Notícias ao Minuto, comes a day after a group of representatives from the Qatar Islamic Bank visited Old Trafford, where they toured the facilities and spoke for around ten hours with the Red Devils' management about the situation.
The talks went "positively" and the expectation is that the new offer will be formalized in the next few days, surpassing the initial one, which was set at 4.5 billion pounds - 5.1 billion euros.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is also scheduled to visit the historic Premier League club in the near future, where he will find out more about all the circumstances and then decide whether to take the game to the next level.
