Mozambique is implementing actions to promote digital inclusion, expand access to public services and promote digital literacy, which should reach all citizens by 2025, the Minister of Transport and Communications, Mateus Magala, said on Tuesday.
The minister announced this during the Commonwealth Digital Nations Ministerial Alliance Forum in London, an initiative of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization (CTO) that aims to facilitate collaboration between member states in the digital transformation of the Commonwealth space.
In a statement, which Notícias quotes from AIM, the Ministry of Transport and Communications explains that during the event "Minister Magala shared Mozambique's experience and challenges in digitizing the country, with emphasis on the design and implementation of infrastructures for access to high-speed broadband services and digital access for rural areas and low-income people, as well as schools, institutions, among other actions".
