The national soccer team, Mambas, won its first three points in an African Nations Championship final for the first time, with CHAN winning 3-2 against Libya in the second round of the group stage.

With this win, the national team has four points, following a draw with Ethiopia in the first round. Another draw in the final match will put the Mambas into the knockout phase for the first time.

It should be noted that the Mambas' final group game will be against CHAN hosts Algeria, who have already booked their place in the quarter-finals after their second win against Ethiopia last night.
