The National Institute for Disaster Risk Management and Reduction, INGD, in Manica needs 15 million meticais to operationalize its contingency plan for the current rainy and cyclonic season.
According to the head of INGD's technical department in Manica, the institution is currently working with partners to mobilize resources to meet any emergency needs.

In the last three weeks, 15 people have lost their lives in Manica due to the effects of adverse natural phenomena, fourteen due to atmospheric discharges and one by dragging, due to the intensity of the rainwater.
