The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, once again urged Mozambican doctors to suspend their strike and return to work quickly, in order to attend to the patients who need them so much.
The request was expressed yesterday at the reception offered by the Head of State to the heads of government and other national leaders on the occasion of the end of the year, which was also attended by representatives of the Mozambican community living abroad.
According to Notícias online, Nyusi expressed his desire to see the doctors return to work, without this signaling an abandonment of the negotiation process, in which the government has always expressed its openness to continuing as a solution to any dispute arising from the application of the Single Salary Table (TSU).
This request comes at a time when the country is in a particularly sensitive period, the festive season from Family Day to New Year's Eve, when demand for medical services increases.
