The former Minister of State Administration (2005-2010), Lucas Chomera, died last Saturday night (26) at the age of 69, allegedly from cardiac arrest.
He allegedly suffered cardiac arrest during a family reunion in Maputo province. Chomera was taken to Matola Provincial Hospital, but moments later lost his life, writes the portal.
Lucas Chomera held various positions in the civil service. Until the time of his death, he served as Advisor to the Prime Minister on Governance and Parliamentary Affairs.
Before that, Chomera served as a Member of Parliament, where he was Chairman of the Public Administration and Local Government Committee and First Vice-President of Parliament.
A specialist in Public Health at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, Lucas Chomera had also served as Deputy National Director for Public Health and National Director for Human Resources at the Ministry of Health. (ClubofMozambque)
