Filipe Nyusi visita Portugal a partir de hoje à convite do seu homólogo português

The President of the Republic, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, will be paying a working visit to the Portuguese Republic from today until next Sunday (20), at the invitation of his Portuguese counterpart, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.

According to a press release from the presidency, during the visit, the Mozambican Head of State will meet with the President of the Republic of Portugal to analyze the state of bilateral and multilateral relations, exchange views on matters of mutual interest in the fields of defense and security, particularly in the Special Forces training process, in the fight against terrorism, and seek new opportunities for cooperation in the agricultural, tourism and labor sectors.

President Nyusi will also hold official talks with the Prime Minister of Portugal, António Costa, and will lead a Round Table on Agribusiness and Tourism, as well as participating, as guest of honor, in the inauguration of the Montebelo Mosteiro de Alcobaça Historic Hotel, in the district of Leiria.

The Montebelo Mosteiro de Alcobaça Historic Hotel is a tourist resort belonging to the group that owns the Montebelo Milibangalala Bay Resort, recently inaugurated in Maputo National Park by the Presidents of Mozambique and Portugal.

On this trip, the President of the Republic will be accompanied by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Verónica Nataniel Macamo Dlhovo; of Agriculture and Rural Development, Celso Ismael Correia; of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, Helena Kida; of Culture and Tourism, Edelvina Materrula; Mozambique's Ambassador to Portugal, Joaquim Bule, staff from the Presidency of the Republic and other state institutions.
