National roads continue to be deadly. Last week alone, 14 people lost their lives and 54 were injured, 20 of them seriously, as a result of 16 road accidents across the country. 

The General Command of the Police of the Republic points to speeding and mechanical failure as the main causes of accidents.

102 crimes were also reported, 90 of which have already been cleared up, which corresponds to 88% of police performance.

As part of road checks, 45 people were arrested for illegal driving and 70 for active corruption.
