Coca-Cola's profit rises to 7,604 million through September

Beverage multinational Coca-Cola announced today that it earned 7,511 million dollars in the first nine months, 2% more than in the same period last year.

The Atlanta-based group's operating revenues between January and September were 32,879 million dollars, 13% more than a year ago, the company said in a statement quoted by Lusa.

According to the source, in the third quarter, the most followed by market analysts on Wall Street, Coca-Cola had a net profit of 2,825 million dollars, 14% more than it had achieved in the same period of 2021.

Turnover between July and September was 11,063 million dollars, 16% more than a year ago.

By geographical area, Coca-Cola's biggest growth in the last quarter was in North America (21%), followed by Latin America, where turnover rose by 12%. In Europe, the Middle East and Africa as a whole, turnover increased by 4% and in the Asia-Pacific region there was a recovery of 4%.

The company has revised its business outlook upwards and estimates that this year it will have earnings per share growth of between 6% and 7%, above the range of between 5% and 6% it had previously anticipated.

The results announced exceeded investors' expectations and in the operations prior to the opening of the New York Stock Exchange, Coca-Cola shares rose by more than 2%.
