Portuguese group Tivoli Hotels & Resorts has announced its expansion into the Spanish market with the opening of a luxury resort in Costa Adeje, Tenerife, scheduled to open in spring 2023.
The group's new five-star hotel, to be called Tivoli La Caleta Resort, is currently closed and under construction, but will reopen with 284 rooms, including 20 suites, four restaurants, two bars and 10 meeting rooms, as well as three swimming pools, a gym, tennis and paddle tennis courts, and an Anantara Spa.
In this new investment, the Tivoli Hotels & Resorts group also continues its collaboration with chefpreneur Olivier da Costa for the development and implementation of the new restaurant concepts that the hotel will offer. In this sense, the restort will have a Yakuza restaurant (specializing in fusion food between East and West), a Guilty (with a casual food offer) and a Classic Beach Club (with some of the most renowned dishes of the island's gastronomy).
The venue, which belongs to European Hospitality Opportunities (a joint venture between funds managed by Santander Asset Management and Signal Capital Partners Limited), already existed under the name La Caleta Resort and until now operated under the Sheraton brand. Under a management agreement, the hotel will from now on be operated by NH Hotel Group (which manages the Tivoli Hotels & Resorts brand in Europe), then under the name Tivoli La Caleta Resort.
"Tivoli Hotels & Resorts' entry into Spain, with a resort as emblematic as La Caleta in Tenerife, allows us to take a strategic step, adding this destination to those already existing for the brand in Portugal, Brazil, Qatar and China. In the future, it will be a priority for us to expand the brand's presence through high-quality resorts," Ramón Aragonés, CEO of NH Hotel Group, quoted by Marketeer, said in a statement.
