The Minister of Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries, Lídia Cardoso, says the country needs to invest more in fish processing and conservation to ensure the sustainability of fishing activity.
Lídia Cardoso was speaking last week in Bilene Beach, at the end of her three-day working visit to Gaza province.
"We have to work united, together, because it's no use the sea developing and not having any evolution. If there is a lot of fish production, but the marketing can't be done, we won't be able to put that fish on the market at a good price and it ends up spoiling," said Lídia Cardoso.
The Minister of the Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries defends the need for the installation of small fish processing industries in all places where fishing activities are carried out.
