FACIM starts today in Marracuene with the presence of more than 2,000 exhibitors

The Maputo International Fair (FACIM), the largest commercial, industrial and services exhibition, starts today with the presence of more than 2,000 exhibitors, including 350 from 22 foreign countries, and is expected to be visited by more than 50,000 people.

The fair, which this year is in its 57th edition, will be inaugurated by the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, as is tradition, who will visit some of the pavilions of the event and give a speech on the importance of the largest trade fair in the country.

Regarding foreign participation, the presence of 22 countries is confirmed, including Portugal, which is historically the largest foreign exhibitor.

According to Lusa, the Portuguese Secretary of State for the Economy, João Correia Neves, will be present at the opening day of the event, as part of a visit he is making to Mozambique.

Besides being an opportunity for each exhibitor to show off its products and services, the fair is also a place for contacts between business people and for partnerships to be established.

FACIM is also a cultural stage and gastronomic fair, promoting musical shows and providing the possibility for visitors to delight themselves with typical Mozambican and international dishes, in the various leisure spaces created in the event's facilities.

The event, which ten years ago was transferred from the Mozambican capital's waterfront to the district of Marracuene, in Maputo province, ends on the next 4th.
