It is already next week that the Government will announce a set of fiscal and macroeconomic reform measures as a way to alleviate the cost of living that tends to rise.
A source cited by the "Carta" states that these are "far-reaching economic stimulus measures, which in the medium and long term will encourage both domestic and foreign investment.
In total, according to the same source, "there are 22 economic reform measures" that will make Mozambique competitive in the SADC region.
"The measures are revolutionary" and "meet the expectations of the private sector and society," says the "Charter" source.
The source that Carta says is from the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) also guarantees that the measures to be announced by the President of the Republic include the revision of some taxes considered "suffocating" by the private sector.
It should be noted that last month the union movement submitted a position to the government demanding a reduction in the Value Added Tax (VAT) on basic necessities, as a way to reduce the impact of the cost of living, considered unsustainable in the country.
