Three individuals are on the account of the Republic of Mozambique Police (PRM), indicted for illegal possession of firearms in three districts of Gaza province.

According to information advanced by Radio Mozambique these citizens, two of whom are brothers, were arrested in the district of Chibuto, after being caught with an equal number of AK47 firearms with twenty-five rounds of ammunition.

The third of the three indicted for illegal carrying of firearms, was found in the Chongoene district with an air rifle, also with twenty-five rounds of ammunition, of pistol type.

Carlos Macuacua, head of public relations at the PRM Provincial Command in Gaza, says that he is investigating the cases, in order to determine the provenance of the weapons and the purposes for which they were used.
