Nyusi Appoints Amilton Alissone as Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications

The President of the Republic appointed today, through a presidential dispatch, Amilton Florêncio Alissone to serve as Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications, according to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic.

Alissone, an engineer by training, with experience in Electricity of Mozambique and other state institutions, will replace Manoela Rebelo, who was removed in June by the President of the Republic.

At the time, the then Minister of Transport and Communications, Janfar Abdulai, was also removed from office.

Abdulai was replaced by Mateus Magala, who was at the time of his appointment Vice President of Human Resources and Institutional Services at the African Development Bank (AfDB).
