Two Angolan women have been arrested, accused of murdering their children in two separate cases, for a total of four children killed last week, the Luanda police said today.
According to the spokesman for the Luanda provincial command, Nestor Goubel, in the first case, the woman is being accused of the crime of voluntary homicide by stabbing, for the death of her children, aged 09, 07 and 04.
The crime is said to have been committed when the woman took the children from her ex-husband's house, and in the middle of the way entered an unfinished house and stabbed the children, aged 09 and 07, who died immediately.
The third child was rescued by locals, who took her to a hospital, but she eventually died due to the severity of her injuries.
Another child managed to escape, Nestor Goubel told Lusa.
The Luanda police spokesman pointed out that in the other case, the woman is suspected of killing her 01 year old son.
Nestor Goubel stressed that neighbors heard the child's screams and intervened, but the child eventually died.
