The National Administration of Fisheries (ADNAP), in Gaza province, seized 161 tons of fish products, mostly surface shrimp and crab, in the districts of Xai-Xai, Limpopo and Bilene, where there is concentration of these products.
A part of the product learned was sold in a public auction and the other part was offered to elderly care centers, hospitals and orphanages, and the offenders were fined and their cases processed in court.
According to Hebelisário Bachita, provincial delegate for Fisheries in Gaza province, who was speaking during the VIII ordinary session of the Council of State Representation Services, last week, 169 vessels were inspected and of this number 14 were seized and destroyed because they were not in condition to carry out fishing activities.
The leader assured that the institution will continue to reinforce the fishing inspection actions and continue the awareness campaigns for the licensing of vessels.
