The National Institute for Standardization and Quality (INNOQ), in coordination with the Ministry of Health (MISAU), is preparing the regulation for mandatory certification of table waters, in this case mineral, purified, mineralized waters, among others intended for human consumption.
According to the general director of INNOQ, Geraldo Albasini, quoted by Domingo, all producers or companies that bottle water for consumption in the country must comply with the certification standard on a mandatory basis.
In fact, under normal conditions, all goods produced whose consumption is likely to affect public health should be certified, but this is not the case.
"As certification is a voluntary process, producers give up, and in many cases goods end up appearing that, due to their composition, are not recommendable for human consumption," considers Geraldo Albasini.
