Covid-19. PRM agents can be sued and not work for not getting vaccinated

The Republic of Mozambique Police (PRM) has made the immunization of its employees against the coronavirus (Covid-19) mandatory, under the penalty that those who do not comply with the order face disciplinary proceedings.

The commander of the PRM said that the unvaccinated agent may be prevented from performing his work duties, i.e., "will not enter the service," without, however, knowing if there is any decree that makes the vaccination against covid-19 mandatory for the corporation, or public employees, in the country.

The avoidance of vaccination among PRM agents will also lead, as a result, to each defaulter of the order being considered a source of disease transmission. Therefore, they should present their vaccination card every time they go to their work stations.

"It's no request, it's an order. Whoever does not bring the card will not enter the service and will be considered a transmission vector," Bernardino Rafael stressed, according to a source quoting the news.

The measure aims to stop the spread of the disease in the country.
