The Mozambican government has seen its capacity to respond against terrorism strengthened by receiving two more high-speed inter-oceptor boats from India.

India has also made military equipment available. According to information from the Ministry of Defense, the equipment could be useful in combating terrorism in the northern part of the country.

The Defense Ministry statement recalled that the new vessels join two others received in 2019 and stressed that they represent an enormous contribution to maintaining security along the coast and to the success of military operations against terrorists in the theater of operations in the north of the country.
