The Ministry of Culture and Tourism plans to create a national award of arts and culture, for the makers, producers, entrepreneurs, among others, in recognition of the work done in favor of the sector and the image of Mozambique inside and outside the country.
According to the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Eldevina Materula, who was speaking during the opening of the first Consultative Council of the National Institute for Cultural and Creative Industries, taking place in Ponta D'Ouro, Matutuíne district, Maputo province, the distinction will be awarded to those involved in the arts and culture sector.
To this end, the governor said she has directed the managers of the National Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries (INICC), the Fund for the Development of Artistic-Cultural Action (FUNDAC) and the National Directorate of Cultural and Creative Industries (DINIC) to lead this extremely urgent process.
