New iPad mini may have a screen similar to the iPhone 13 Pro

The next model of the iPad mini may have a screen similar to the iPhone 13 Pro, according to GSMArena. Apple is testing a 120Hz ProMotion screen for its upcoming iPad mini, with the 8.3″ panel to be manufactured by Samsung Display.

The sixth generation iPad mini updates slower on one side of the screen than the other side, as well as on the iPad mini. Apple says this behavior is normal, although many users doubt that a ProMotion screen will help solve the problem.

This effect called "jelly scroll" is not new. It has to do with the orientation of the controller board and the direction the user is scrolling. It is speculated that "Apple could be using a cheaper than usual display board, so the upgrade scrolling is more pronounced than they expected."

The rest of the hardware for the next generation iPad mini remains largely unchanged from the current model with A15 Bionic chipset at the helm, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage in the base variant.

Apple promises 10 hours of web browsing or video playback for this iPad mini, the same as on the iPad mini 5 and iPad mini 4 models. The Apple iPad mini 6 supports fast charging via USB power adapters, with a maximum of about 25W of power.

There is still a reservation about the possible release of the supposed new version of the iPad mini given that the latest version was released about a month ago.
